Lastima que los boletos volaron...

Juntos

Estábamos sentados uno en frente del otro. Tomábamos algo, intentaba hablar con él, mientras me perdía en sus ojos, construía frases sin sentido por culpa de sus labios. 

Al levantarnos y acercarnos al mostrador, la mesera muy amable preguntó: "Juntos?" así, simplemente, no "les cobro juntos??" o "pagan todo junto??" Solo un "juntos". Y yo dentro de mi pensé: Ojalá.

Extraños...

Y de noche nuestros cuerpos, acostumbrados a seguir el mismo camino desde hacía siglos, se buscaban desde cada punta de la cama, y se fundían en un abrazo animal. Mi espalda contra tu pecho, tus brazos alrededor de mi cintura y tu aliento en mi nuca. Por la mañana, el primero que abría las ojos se alejaba del cuerpo caliente del otro, y volvíamos a no hablarnos, a no querernos....

Menos mal que volverá la noche y se repetirá la historia, o qué?

Apenas me deshogaba con alguien y que me dice: No pienses así... todo va bien... lo has hecho bastante bien... a ver... piensa... prefieres esto o Sabritas? No lo dude y contesté: El instituto... mil veces el instituto...

Y pues si... el instituto y su gente me tratan bastante bien... es sólo que por momentos me da una especie de pánico escénico que tengo que seguir aprendiendo a controlar...

Hacía mas de un año que Renée había muerto. Rob seguía echándola de menos

I wanted to start. That was something. But what do you do with a desire like that? I didn't know, so I did nothing with it. I had been a widower for over a year and the second year was rougher than the first. I had done nothing with 1998, and had no ambitions for 1999 except getting it over with as fast as possible. Given antoher year that Renée didn't get, I planned to waste it. I made no plans to make things better. All I did was sit in my empty yard.
